A magnetic pickup tool (also called a magnetic wand or telescoping magnet) is a magnet on a long, often telescoping handle that retrieves dropped hardware, tools and scrap metal from tight or hard-to-reach spots, such as under a vehicle or behind a workbench, without crawling or reaching in by hand.
Dropped hardware always lands in the worst place — under the vehicle, behind the workbench, into the machine. PML Magnetic Pickup Tools retrieve hardware, tools and scrap metal from all of them: a magnet on a long handle that turns a crawl-and-fish job into a two-second reach.
Heavy Duty Magnetic Pickup Tools (PT Series)
Built around super-strong neodymium magnets, the heavy series lifts up to 29 kg — or 112 pieces of 8 mm nails — in one pass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which series do I need?
Heavy PT series for shop-floor scrap and bulk hardware (up to 29 kg); MP minis for pocket-carry retrieval of small parts; PU series with LED for dark, tight spaces. The tables above compare every model's length, magnet size and pull.
Do the magnets wear out?
No — these are permanent neodymium magnets. PT13 carries a permanent-magnetism guarantee.
Can I reach under machinery with them?
Yes — PT14's handle angle adjusts 0–150°, the MP minis have locking hinges for corners, and the PU flexible shafts bend into previously inaccessible spots.
What's the maximum lift capacity across the range?
Up to 29kg on the heavy-duty PT and PT13 models — enough for 112 pieces of 8mm nails in one pass.
Which models have a built-in light?
The PU10 model includes a built-in LED for dark corners; PU14 shares the same bendable-shaft design without the light.
